My baby girl is now 18 months old...and she is a mama's girl all the way. How sweet that feels!
As we quickly approach our 1st post placement report I can't help but reminisce over the past 6 months that we have known our daughter. She has changed so much from that independent 12 month baby we first met in the baby home to such a loving and feisty 18 month old. There is not a day that goes by that I don't thank God for sending her to us and thinking of us as worthy enough to be her parents. My heart just soars and I feel so blessed when she smiles up and me and in that moment I think of her biological parents and wish I could tell them how well she is doing and how much we love her. I only hope they know in their heart of hearts that she is safe and loved. Here is a quick look back at my sweet baby girl. My how she continues to come into her own!!!

This is my silly girl. To help lighten our last moments together before leaving for home the caregivers dressed Emily up as a mini caregiver. She was such a sport and clearly liked it. Here she is going into the kitchen to help get dinner for her gruppa. This is the last image I had of her as I left the baby home. Her looking back at us as we left.

I cried for her as we pulled out from the train station. She was giving up so much to be with us..her birth city, her babyhome and caregivers, her culture and soon her birth country. But gaining so much more...a family, a future.

How fun it was to look at all the photos you posted :) ! She looks so much like your family and she looks so happy! I kwym about wanting the bio parents to see how well she's doing. We were told that Ashlyn's bio mom cried when she found out that Ashlyn was going to be adopted. I want so badly for her to see how well her little girl is doing and how much she's loved!
It is so wonderful to see how she has grown. The smile on her face says it all.

Emily is so lucky to have you both as parents! Your family is able to provide her with so much more than most people can even imagine. If I didn't know better, I would've thought that Emily was your biological child. I know that you and Sean love her as if she was one of your own. I am so happy she has adapted so well into your family, and that she is still blossoming into a beautiful little girl!

Ohhh my goodness, she is so stinkin beautiful!! And I am cracking up, because Payton has that same gap warmest jacket and winter hat ... AND ... Addison's crib bedding is the PBK Penelope stuff too! LOL
I think this is my favorite post ever. So many pictures of that gorgeous little face over so many months! Congrats on having a Mama's girl and on being home almost 5 months!

The story about Emily's caregivers dressing her up as a mini caregiver is just about the sweetest thing I've ever heard!
Isn't it amazing how quickly the time goes once home. I'm so glad you shared photos from trip 1 and 2. The photos of her dressed in the apron and hair net are not only precious, but priceless. Too sweet. I can imagine thinking of her during your wait dressed as such.
I also enjoyed the photos on the beach and since home. Love, love, love the one of your three beautiful children sitting on the sidewalk. Precious.
